All the members of Hey Say Jump gathered in Takaki’s house on Christmas Eve. They were celebrating Christmas together. But Yabu wasn’t there yet because of ‘She Loves Me’ performance. He said he would come once he finished his job. So, everyone was having fun without their oldest member. There were a lot of foods that night. Takaki’s mom had so kindly cooked for them. And of course, there was Takaki’s favorite hamburger.
Takaki’s living room was really crowded with 9 people gathered together. Most of the members were enjoying the food, although Chinen and Daiki were playing Wii, ignoring the crowds around them. Yamada and Ryutaro were watching them playing it while eating their pizza. Takaki, was being a good host for tonight’s party, serving some foods and arranging things. Hikaru and Inoo were sitting on the couch, feeding each other with foods. But Yuto was wiggling in his seat. His eyes were glancing at Keito who was picking some foods on the table. Finally, after some time, he got up and approached the English boy.
“H-hey…,” Yuto greeted.
“Oh, Yuto. Want some foods? The hamburger is really good. No wonder Takaki always brags about this,” Keito offered him some foods.
“Uhmm, no. I’ll get it later. Ne, come with me for seconds,” Yuto said, pulling Keito’s wrist and dragging him to the corner of the room, where the Christmas tree placed. Then Yuto turned to face him, his face looked so nervous.
“What is it, Yuto?” Keito looked at him with confused look, “what are we doing here?”
“Uhhmm,” Yuto didn’t say anything but pointing his finger up.
Keito looked up to find mistletoe hanging above them. He smiled when he realized what Yuto wanted. He looked down to look at Yuto but the taller boy had moved closer to him and their faces were just inches apart now. Keito could feel Yuto’s breath on his cheek.
Yuto looked into Keito eyes, looking for permission to kiss him silently. Keito got the messages and he leaned closer to Yuto, not breaking the eye contact. Yuto smiled and finally landed his lips on the older boy’s. When his lips touched Keito’s, he closed his eyes, yearning the feeling of the soft lips on his. Keito unconsciously wrapped his hands around the taller boy’s neck. Yuto, too, wrapped his hands around Keito’s waist, continuing kissing the English boy. They continued kissing like that for some time, oblivious of anything around them.
Hikaru and Inoo, who sat not far from the Christmas tree, saw that sweet moment. Hikaru had his arm circled around Inoo’s waist and Inoo was leaning his head on Hikaru’s shoulder. They chuckled watching the little boys kissing under the mistletoe.
“Well, I don’t need mistletoe to kiss you,” Hikaru whispered to Inoo’s ear before bending down to kiss his lover. Inoo giggled and gladly kissed him back.
“But I think that’s romantic, kissing under mistletoe. Yuto is unexpectedly quite romantic too,” Inoo said after he broke the kiss and looked back at the still kissing couple.
“So you want me to kiss you under the mistletoe too?” Hikaru asked while caressing Inoo’s hair with his fingers.
“Not really. It’s enough to cuddle with you here. Beside, like what you said, we don’t need mistletoe,” Inoo looked up to peck Hikaru. Hikaru smiled softly.
“Hey, there’s something I want to give you,” Hikaru said suddenly.
“Hmmm, what is it?” Inoo grinned.
“Close your eyes,” Hikaru ordered.
Inoo obeyed his lover and closed his eyes, his heart pounding. He felt something around his neck and he was quite sure that Hikaru was giving him a necklace.
“If it’s just a necklace, why do I have to close my eyes?” Inoo chuckled, but Hikaru was shushing him.
“Now, open your eyes,” Hikaru patted his lover’s shoulder lightly. Inoo opened his eyes and looked at his new necklace. His eyes widened when he saw the pendant that was hanging on his necklace chain. It’s a silver ring.
“Hi- hikaru… a ring? B-but…. Why you make it into a necklace?” Inoo stuttered, touching the surface of the ring and realized that their names were craved on it.
“Oh, Hikaru…,” Inoo whimpered when he saw their names.
“Well, umm…. I… made a mistake when ordering it. Your ring… It’s a girl size. So I’m pretty sure it won’t fit on your finger,” Hikaru scratched his head. Inoo chuckled when he heard his boyfriend’s explanation.
“It fits… on my pinky,” Inoo said, showing the ring on his pinky, with the chain still connecting to his neck.
“No, I don’t want you wear it on your pinky. Well… I’ll get the right size someday, so it will fit on your ring finger,” Hikaru said, “beside I wear mine as a necklace too,” he showed the necklace which he had worn, a necklace with similar ring to Inoo’s.
“Thank you, Hika chan,” Inoo said, leaning closer to kiss Hikaru. Hikaru gladly returned the kiss, cupping his face and kissing him passionately.
The door bell rang, but no one paid attention to it. Takaki passed the kissing couple on the couch to open the door and greet whoever the guest was. He opened the door and found Yabu stood in front of him with sheepish smile.
“Hi, sorry I’m late,” he said. Takaki’s face lightened up once he saw Yabu. He was about to hug him when he was shoved to the side by Chinen and Yamada.
“Yabu kun!! You came!! We’ve been waiting for you!” They chirped and dragged Yabu to go to the living room. Yabu gave Takaki an apologetic smile before disappearing into the living room. Takaki sighed and followed them after closing the door.
Once he reached the living room, he saw Yabu was already surrounded by the others. They missed the oldest because he rarely hung out with them due to his performances. Takaki leaned on the nearest wall to see them unconsciously trapping the oldest, chuckling amusedly when he saw Yabu tried to answer their questions regarding the show. Then he saw Yabu looked at him with plead eyes, and then Takaki approached the crowds, knowing what Yabu wanted.
“Hai,hai, hai! Stop it now. Yabu is tired and you guys aren’t helping at all with questioning him like that. Now back off, return to what you were doing!” Takaki said, trying to help Yabu escaping from those little brats. They pouted but backed off nevertheless. Finally Yabu was freed and he smiled at Takaki.
“Thanks. You know that I’m not in the mood of telling them off,” Yabu said.
“Don’t worry. I know it very well. By the way, I’ve prepared something for you, come with me,” Takaki made a gesture to follow him with his hand and walked through the living room. Yabu followed him silently. Takaki brought him to his room upstairs. Yabu frowned. He didn’t have any idea why Takaki brought him to his room when the party was held downstairs.
“Now lay on the bed, on your stomach,” Takaki ordered.
“You’re not going to rape me, are you,” Yabu smirked at the younger boy, made him to blush like mad.
“O-of course not! Just do what I say, you’ll feel good afterwards,” Takaki said with red face.
Yabu chuckled but doing what the younger one ordered nonetheless. He relaxed his tired body once he leaned on the fluffy surface and closed his eyes. He almost drifted asleep when he felt Takaki straddled his legs.
“Ta-takaki?” Yabu called.
“Sshhh, just enjoy it,” Takaki said when he started to massage Yabu’s shoulders. Yabu let out soft moan, enjoying Takaki’s touch on his shoulders and his back. Takaki kept on massaging him until he saw that Yabu had fallen asleep. He slowly got up from the older boy’s body. He kneeled beside the sleeping figures and caressed his hair slowly. He leaned over and kissed Yabu’s forehead slightly and mumbling a soft ‘good night’ before stood up and took his leave. But his wrist was caught, and he turned to see that Yabu still closed his eyes. But apparently he hadn’t fallen asleep.
“Don’t go. Stay with me,” Yabu mumbled, not letting go the younger one’s hand.
“But, how about the others? The party is still going on,” Takaki replied.
“Pffft, I’m sure they have their own business now. Hikaru and Inoo must have been making out for now when Yuto and Keito are flirting with each other. And the others, they have your Wii to distract them all night long. Now, come here, I need you,” Yabu finally opened his eyes and moved aside to make a room for Takaki. Takaki was hesitated for seconds but Yabu tugged his wrist hard and Takaki was stumbling onto the bed.
“Now, now, let me enjoy this night,” Yabu said while circling his arms around Takaki’s waist and hugging him. Takaki smiled and nuzzled his head on Yabu’s neck. Yabu kissed Takaki’s forehead before drifting into sleep. Takaki enjoyed the warmth and soon, fell asleep too.
And just like what Yabu had predicted. The other members really had their own business so they didn’t even realize that Yabu and Takaki weren’t with them downstairs. They just enjoyed the Christmas Eve together, in their own way.
